Your first BASE jump is only the beginning. Our First BASE jump Course is designed to give you a strong foundation in BASE, not just the skills to make your first jump, but the knowledge and decision-making needed to continue progressing responsibly.
BASE stands for Buildings, Antennas, Spans (bridges), and Earth (cliffs), the four types of fixed objects we jump from. Unlike skydiving, BASE jumping introduces you to lower altitudes, subterminal jumps, complex environments, and variable weather conditions. Because of this, the stakes are higher, the margin for error is smaller, and your preparation must be rock solid.
This course is not about ego or proving something. It's about respecting the sport, honoring the process, and staying alive. We will move at your pace, build your confidence, and push your boundaries with a strong foundation in safety and awareness.

Going into the FJC with Scotty and Julia brought some interesting challenges being a larger person in the BASE world (6'6 and 245 lbs) but they took a bunch of measures to secure gear for me to use and make sure it was as safe as possible. I learned more in this course than I even imagined I could going into it, and the whole time was a blast.
